Obituary of Frances Sperry
Frances Jeanette Sperry, 88, of GracePointe Crossing Gables West passed away on Saturday, December 08, 2012.
She was born on April 17, 1924 in Isanti, Minnesota to Frank and Anna Johnson.
She married Kenneth F. Sperry on October 24, 1942 in Chelan, WA. They made their home in Patuxent River, MD, Portsmouth and Norfolk, VA, where Kenny was stationed in the Navy. In 1959, they moved back to Isanti, where they lived in Isanti Estates.
Frannie worked at the Cambridge State School and Hospital, People State Bank, and Fridley Bank.
She was a Past Matron (1963-1964) of Jasmine Chapter 197, Order of The Eastern Star and was a member of the Isanti VFW Auxiliary. She loved to cook, entertain, and will be remembered for her love of music, playing the accordion and piano. She had a zest for life and was known as "Fire Cracker Fran".
She is survived by her daughter Donna Lee and husband Ronald Anderson of Cambridge, former son-in-law Kenny West of Spicer, five grandchildren Troy West and wife Kristen of North Oaks, Tom West and wife Tami of Ramsey, Laura Leet of Isanti, Brent Anderson and wife Carri, and Rochelle Anderson all of Cambridge, five great grandchildren Hunter, Carter, and Sydney West, Destinee and Sophia Anderson, sisters Doris Sparks of Brooklyn Park, Shirley and husband Ed Morine of Palm Desert, CA, special friend Judy Imker of Isanti, as well as nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenny (1973), daughter Karen West (2012), parents, sisters Marion Edelng (Adolph), Lillian Mattson (Andy), brothers Gordy (Delores) and Clifford Johnson (Sally), brother-in-law Bob Sparks, also special friend Lloyd Kittelson.
