Obituary of Margaret Bartelt
Margaret Rose "Maggie" Bartelt, 64, of Isanti passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
She was born on April 14, 1948 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Charles and Felicitas (Perez) Mejia. Maggie grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from North High School in 1966. After high school she worked for a couple of years.
On July 20, 1968 she was united in marriage to James Bartelt at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Minneapolis. They lived in Brooklyn Center and later North Minneapolis. In 1972 they bought a home in Isanti. They raised their two children and have lived there since that time.
Maggie enjoyed crafting with beads and jewelry, going to garage sales, working on the computer and shopping online. She enjoyed her horses and chickens, riding on her four wheeler, and riding on the Harley, making several trips to South Dakota. Maggie and Jim also traveled in their motorhome and also enjoyed their time at the cabin on the lake. Maggie's greatest joy in life were her seven grandchildren and cherished the time spent with all of them.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son Max J. Bartelt in February 2010. Maggie is survived by her husband of 44 years Jim of Isanti, daughter Sandy and husband Tim Dahlgren of Isanti, daughter-in-law Tanya Bartelt of Cambridge, seven grandchildren Cassie Stecker, Zachary Bartelt, Thomas Dahlgren, Alexis Bartelt, Brandy Dahlgren, Payton Bartelt and Colton Bartelt, sisters Vicki (Larry) Bronson of Blaine, Mary Ahern of Coon Rapids, brothers Chuck (Esther) Mejia of Encinitas, CA, Richard (Candy) Mejia of Savage, Alex Mejia of Champlin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
