Sylvia and family,
Our sympathy to you at Van's passing. I enjoyed the time I had with him during seminary and touching base a few times after that. I am grateful for his love for the Lord and his desire to serve Him faithfully.
We are both from the area around Wyannet Free Church and used to play against them in our church softball league. When we heard that you folks had retired in the area we had hoped to look you up and stop in for a visit. But it never did happen.
On the flip side I have been serving a church near Baldwin, WI for several years and have come across some of Van's cousins and a brother.
Our prayers are with you in the days to come. May you experience the strength and grace that only God can give. May the hope we have in Jesus be your strength.
