Aunt Shirlee (I am the oldest daughter of Shirlee's sister, Patricia Tait Karavas) was a beautiful woman with many great talents!
My North Carolina family sends our condolences to her children with the reminder of what the Apostle Paul
wrote about those who have accepted the Lord Jesus as their personal Savoir and Lord (as did Shirlee) - he said that it is "far better" to "be with Christ" (Philippians 1:22) and that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" (II Corinthians 5:8)! Jesus said this, "I am the resurrection and the life! He that believes in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live . . . whosoever lives and believes in Me shall never die" (John 11:25)! THIS IS THE TRUTH AND IT IS THE GREATEST NEWS ANYONE CAN EVER HEAR! If you have NOT received Christ into your heart, do so today!!
"Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God" (John 3:3). "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hear My voice AND OPEN THE DOOR, I will come in . . . " (Revelation 3:20). "TO AS MANY AS RECEIVE HIM, TO THEM GAVE HE POWER TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD, EVEN TO THEM THAT BELIEVE ON HIS NAME" (John 1:12). "Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is NO OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN GIVEN AMONG MEN, where you MUST BE SAVED" (Acts 4:12). "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23)!!
