Obituary of Lois June Bolen

Lois J. Bolen age 83 of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2017 at Cambridge Medical Center.

Preceded in death by her parents Carl & Myrtle, step-grandson Brandon Bolen, daughter-in-law Eileen Mahoney, step-son-in-law Dean Olson.

She is survived by her husband Delmer “Del”; children Scott Blomgren (Jennifer Becker), Sue (Mitch) Carlson, Jana (Kim) Amsrud, Joel (Belinda) Blomgren; step-children, Barb Olson, Steve (Jackie) Bolen, Richard (Laurie) Bolen and Colleen Lineman.

Lois loved her 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Also survived by her sisters, Eileen (Del) Westburg and Marilyn Brown and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Lois was a very talented and quick- witted person.  She loved music, singing, camping and crafts.  She excelled in making special Christmas cards and signing them using calligraphy. Lois especially enjoyed all types of animals, coming to their rescue and giving them her devoted love.

She worked at Cambridge State Hospital for many years as a Dietary Cook.  It was at the hospital that she met Del.

Memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, December 6 at Common Ground, A United Methodist Community - 404 N. Cypress Street in Cambridge.

Friends may gather one hour prior to the service, at the church, to share their memories of Lois with one another.
