Obituary of Steven Walter Olson
Steven W. Olson age 65 of Stanchfield, MN, formerly of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2018.
Steven was born September 11, 1952 to Clarence & Jessie Olson of Minneapolis, MN. He spent his youth living and playing in Minneapolis. Steve graduated Roosevelt High School in 1970. While working at SA station at 44th and Lake St., he met his wife Sherryl Olson. They were married in 1971 and have been together for 47 ½ years.
Steven and Sherryl have 5 children; Chris (Holli), Jonathan (Faith), Becky Madden, Tim (Brina) and Elisabeth (Tim) Ritzer. Steven was a grandfather of Tyus, Jeremiah, Anna, David, Cayden, Alex, Oliver, and Alissa Mae.
Steven is also survived by his brother Ralph Olson; sisters Helen D’Andrea, Jane ( Terry) Tessmer, Joanne (Phil) Sengir; brothers-in-law Keary Olson and Ron Olson and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Steven worked many jobs during his life. He worked as a printer in Mpls, Detailer at the Mpls Auto Auction, Manager of the Seal N’ Shine Car Wash in Plymouth, Office manager and driver at Rutherford Delivery Service of Plymouth, driver for Roots and Fruits delivery and finally ending his career at Northwestern Casket Company of New Hope. Retiring after many years due to health reasons.
When not working, Steven enjoyed his time at home in Stanchfield with his family and friends. His true passion was American made muscle cars, owning a 1970 Boss, 302 Mustang. He thoroughly enjoyed the Oshkosh, WI Air Show and a Coke.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and sister Arleen Hughes.

Visitation 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home.
Interment private.
