Obituary of LaRayne Verna Mae Goodin

    LaRayne Verna Mae Goodin, 96, of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, passed away on November 30, 2018 at The Estates of St. Louis Park.

    LaRayne was born on May 3, 1922 to Alexander and Esther Charpentier in Oakes, North Dakota. After graduating from high school, she attended business school in South Dakota.  LaRayne then worked for the federal government in Washington, DC and Los Angeles, CA during World War II.  She met and married Clifford Goodin and they lived in Minneapolis.  In the 1970’s, they retired to Spectacle Lake and then to Pine Village in Cambridge. After Clifford’s death, LaRayne lived with her daughter, Alexandra, in St. Louis Park, MN.

    LaRayne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clifford, her sister Viola Ubben and brother Donald Charpentier. 

    She is survived by her daughter, Alexandra Larkin; grandchildren Pat/John (Shanie) Trog and Kerri (Will) Wachs; great grandchildren Gillian, Joshua and Grady; sister-in-law Marcia and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Memorial Service will be held at 11AM, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Christ The King Catholic Church.  Visitation one hour prior to the service with Rosary to take place just prior to the service.  Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
