Obituary of Curtis Alan Bourke
Curtis Alan Bourke, 57, of Ogilvie and Cambridge passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019 at GracePointe Crossing in Cambridge.
He was born on February 3, 1962 in Minneapolis, MN to Charles and Joan (Koeller) Bourke. Curt was confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in Dalbo, attended grade school in Cambridge and graduated in 1981 from Cambridge High School.
After graduating, he worked various jobs and later married and had two daughters Angela and Amy. Curt went on to work for Kelly Green Irrigation, learning to install and maintain irrigation systems, eventually venturing on his own to start Northern Green Irrigation which he operated from 2006 – 2013
On December 28, 1991 he was united in marriage to Patricia Callahan at Salem Lutheran Church in Dalbo, to this union their daughter Emily was born. They made their home in Cambridge for many years and more recently living in rural Ogilvie.
Curt was a medical miracle, living over 7 years after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He was a member of the Grandy Lions, enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, snowmobiling, shooting trap, mowing lawn, barbequing with family and friends, and especially spending time with family and his grandkids. He loved helping others, always going out of his way to do so. He was a loving husband, great father, papa and a good friend
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Thomas and Richard. Curt is survived by his wife Patricia, daughters Angela Bourke of Blaine, Amy (Kyle) Sandven of Biloxi, MS, Emily Bourke of Monticello; six grandchildren Kierra, Tessa, MJ, Liam, Jack, Ayden and one more to love soon; sister Debi (Duggan) Kelly of Carver, as well as a nephew, nieces, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the funeral home.
Friends may gather 1 hour prior to service to extend their condolences.
