Obituary of Lucas Howard Gleason
Lucas Howard Gleason, 37, of Cambridge, died on May 1, 2019 the result of an auto accident.
He was born March 7, 1982 in Cambridge, MN to Timothy and Shawna (Johnson) Gleason. Luke grew up in Cambridge, graduating from Cambridge High School in 2000. He went on to attend Dunwoody Institute to learn the plumbing trade. Luke worked for 6 years at Gilbert Mechanical in Minneapolis and later worked as a concrete finisher, and refurbishing homes.
Luke enjoyed playing church softball at his church River Valley Christian Church, shooting trap with his dad, tinkering with things, welding, working on cars, he liked to take things apart and put them back together and even built his own mini bike, and was a Ford lover - his Mustang and Ranger truck. Luke loved the outdoors, was an avid fisherman, and especially loved his children. He was a kid at heart when it came to ice cream, always had to eat it in a cup with milk. Luke was a very giving and kind person, always willing to help out.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Howard & Alvina Gleason, Rubin Johnson, uncle Steven (Judy) Johnson, and cousin Jason Gleason.
Luke is survived by daughter Kimber Larson of Braham, son Donovan Gleason of Braham, parents Tim and Shawna Gleason of Cambridge, sister Leah and husband Brad Johnson of Cambridge, grandmother Gerry Johnson of Cambridge, nieces and nephews Dylan Nelson, Gunnar & Gloria Friedland, Travis (Mary) Johnson, Tony Johnson, Jessica (Chris) Lehman, great nieces Kelsey Lehman and Olive Johnson, aunts and uncles Paul (Carol) Gleason of Golden Valley, Vivian Oys of Isanti, Diane Gleason of Isanti, Michael (Cindy) Johnson of Isanti, Bradley (Katie) Johnson of Grandy, as well as many cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1PM, Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at South Isanti Baptist Church. Visitation will be 4-7PM, Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
