Obituary of Curtis John Erickson
Curtis J. Erickson, 63, of North Branch passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 at his home.
He was born on November 17, 1951 in Princeton, Minnesota to Leif and Delores (Lindell) Erickson. He grew up in the Harris area and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1969. He worked for a time at Peterson’s Feed Mill in North Branch and after high school he began working at Sewall Gear Manufacturing and remained there for over 40 years. When Sewall Gear closed, Curtis started his company C & M Gear Company and ran that for the past seven years at his own shop at home.
He was united in marriage to Mary Lindgren on October 9, 1976 at the Cambridge Lutheran Church and they raised their three children.
Curtis served in the Army Reserves for six years and was honorably discharged. He enjoyed working on his tractors, his motorcycle and going on summer rides with Mary.
He was preceded in death by his father Leif in September 2013, father-in-law Axel Lindgren and brother-in-law Bruce Lindgren. Curtis is survived by his wife Mary of North Branch, children Melinda Erickson of Pearl Harbor, HI, Jesse Erickson of Isanti, Jordan Erickson of North Branch, Hope Carlson of Hinckley, grandson Slade Carlson, mother Delores Erickson of Cambridge, six sisters, three brothers, and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
