Obituary of Nathan D. Miller
Nathan D. Miller, 31, of Cambridge died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Cambridge Medical Center.
Nathan Donald Miller was born on December 30, 1984 in Coon Rapids, MN to Edward and Jeanne Lieffring Miller. Nate grew up in rural Cambridge attending grade school in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge-Isanti High School in 2003. While in high school he played football until 10th grade and then worked at Isanti County Implement in Cambridge. After high school Nate attended St. Cloud Technical College earning a plumbing degree. He worked as a plumber in Milaca in residential and commercial plumbing and later with J & K Installation for five years. He enjoyed being able to work all over the U.S. installing coolers and refrigeration units. For the past 2 years Nate worked as a mechanic at Larson’s Cycle.
Nate began racing snowmobiles at the age of 13 and also raced dirt bike until the age of 19. In those six years he won several trophies. He was very mechanical and loved to work on and fix things. He enjoyed spending time with his family at the hunting shack, hunting deer and turkey. Nathan was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather James Miller and cousins Evelyn and Alex Lieffring. Nate is survived by his parents Ed Miller and Jean Lieffring Miller of Cambridge, brother James and wife Emily Miller of Stanchfield, niece and nephew Elsie and Griffin Miller, grandparents Marlene and Don Lieffring of Two Harbors, Lillian Miller of Silver Bay, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
