Obituary of Frances J. Peterson

Frances June Peterson has passed away at 8:55 p.m., on November 6, 2016 at her home in Cambridge, MN with her family by her side. Frances June Peterson was born in Braham, MN on June 10th, 1928. She was the daughter of Rev. Carl and Paula Steging. She graduated from Pine City high school in 1946 and attended nursing school at Gustavus Adolphus College and Bethesda Hospital. She worked at Anchor Hospital in St.Paul, General Hospital in San Francisco, CA, University of Minnesota, and Sundberg’s Nursing Home in Cambridge, MN. Frances married John “Jack” Peterson on June 17th, 1961. Frances and Jack moved to Cambridge in 1965 and had two children, Jeffrey and Traci. Frances enjoyed spending time with her family, her winter trips to Florida with Jack, and her Whitefish Lake vacations with the family. She was a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother and always put the needs of others first. She is survived by her husband Jack; her children Traci Warden and Dale Grundberg of Isanti, MN and Jeffrey and Rose Peterson of Deltona, Florida; her Grandchildren Catie and Matthew Hanson of Cambridge, MN , Robert Andrews and Kim Hymes of Deland, Florida, Candice and Luke Lange of Cape Coral, Florida; her Great Grandchildren, Corbin, Jonny, Eli, Amelia, Emma, and Lincoln; her sister Carla Scott of Milaca, MN; her sister in law Donna Steging of Burnsville, MN; and her nieces and nephews, Ceri, Mark, Kathy, Paula, and Brian. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Carl and Paula Steging and her brother Rev. Joel Steging. She will be greatly missed. Private services held at Joy Lutheran Church in Cambridge.
