Service of Remembrance

It is always our privilege and honor to conduct our annual Service of Remembrance to families we have served as well as everyone in the community. Whether your loved one died recently or decades ago, the holiday season can bring forth powerful memories that can trigger your grief. This is a time for us to come together as a community to honor and remember those we have lost but not forgotten. 

Our non-denominational service is conducted by our entire staff.  We, along with local clergy, musicians and special speakers deliver a special meaningful message of hope and inspiration to hundreds of people.  A candle will be lit in honor of each individual that our funeral home served during the past year.  We extend this honor to everyone.  Those that have died, but were not served by our funeral home may also have their loved ones name voiced with a candle lit as well.  We encourage families that are present to come forward and light a candle. We understand coming forward may be difficult for some, in this case we will light the candle for them.

Immediately following the service we hope you can stay for a piece of dessert, a warm cup of coffee or punch.  During this time, families we served in the past year are given a keepsake engraved ornament from us at Carlson-Lillemoen.  Additional ornaments can also be ordered or, at your convenience at the link below.  Families that were not served by Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home may also order ornaments. If you are not able to attend the service we will make arrangements for you to receive your ornament. This gathering time is special for everyone to reflect and share memories with others.  We are exceptionally proud of the heart-warming response we receive over and over.
