Lindsey thank you so much for introducing yourself to me just a few weeks ago as I visited my mother, Carole’s gravesite. I am so sorry about the loss of your wonderful little boy, Afton. I just wanted to share that my mom was a daycare provider for over 40 years and she so loved all children. I believe she is watching over your little baby in heaven and it was meant to be that they were laid to rest near each other.
Please know that my family keeps you in our prayers.
Bless you,
Laura

Hi Lindsay and Bjork.
I'm sooooo soo sorry to hear of your loss. I follow you on Instagram and was genuinely happy to hear that you were expecting your own "bun in the oven". Despite how crippling the sorrow must be after your loss, I truly appreciate the fact that you have decided to reflect on the positive moments you had with Afton and that while your faith did not completely dissolve.
It's with those thoughts in mind that I wanted to share what provided me comfort in my own time of loss.
When tragedies like this happen people often blame God. Why didn't he stop it? Why didn't he protect my love one? I wanted God to explain himself and he did. Through his word the Bible, he told me that he was not the cause of the suffering we face, in fact that suffering is the result of the sin of our first parents Adam and Eve (Romans 5:12). He then explained that on the contrary he personally cares for us and sees what we are going through (1 Peter 5:7). He didn't leave us without hope though, he promised that he will help us to endure (Colossians 1:11) until the time came when he fulfilled the promise to resurrect our loved ones.
Yes Lindsay and Bjork, you can see Afton again. Hold him again, whisper your words of love to him. You can get to watch him grow into the man you dreamed he would be, a revel in the little nuances he displays from those of your family line. You can feel your heart warmed by the tickle of his laughter or the unexpected gifts he will give. You can have faith in All of this because God promises so. He cannot lie and he longs to not only relieve your pain but see your joy as you welcome your baby boy again. (Job 14:14,15)
This article and video helped me and I hope they help you too. Please look at them when you can.
