Obituary of Mary Winch

Mary Janette Winch, 78, of Princeton passed away at Fairview Northland Regional Hospital on Thursday, October 4, 2007. Mary was born June 5, 1929 in Cloquet, Minnesota to Peter and Cecilia (Schneider) Beaupre. She grew up in the Cloquet/Carlton area, graduating in 1947 from Carlton High School. In 1952 Mary was united in marriage to James Winch. They lived in East Bethel until 1963 when they made their home in rural Cambridge. During her lifetime she worked as a waitress, nurse's aide, and at the Woolen Mills before leaving to become a full time homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, bird-watching, playing cards, agate hunting, and spending time with her family. Mary entered the Princeton Elim Care and Rehab Center in May 1996, where she resided until her death. Mary is survived by her daughter Kathy (Allan) Swedeen of Cambridge, grandchildren Tammy (Charles) Seafolk of Cambridge, Mark (Denise) Swedeen of Stanchfield, Lynnea (Tony) Beberg of Cambridge, seven great grandchildren Matthew, Michael, Caleb, Luke, Micah, Aaron and Brianna, one brother Robert Beaupre of Barnum, three sisters-in-law Ione Winch of St. Louis Park, Marge Beaupre of White Bear Lake, Ruth Beaupre of Colorado, and by other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, four brothers, two sisters and one great grandchild.
