Obituary of John Koecher

John R. Koecher of Stacy, passed away on Sunday in Rush City, August 5, 2012 at the Golden Living Center. He was 88 years old. John was born September 14, 1923 in Oxford Township, Stacy, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at the St. John Weber Lutheran Church. John was a member of the church for his entire life. John was a farmer all of his life. He also worked for the State of MN and an assessor for Isanti County. On August 29, 1970 John married Jean Elizabeth Morris. Together they farmed for thirty years. John enjoyed many things. In particular, he loved trees, visiting with family and friends, and playing cards in Isanti with the seniors. John also wrote and published a book: The Cross of Light. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Johanna; his wife Jean; sisters Adeline Miller and Erna Ogren. He is survived by his nephews William (Roseanna) Miller, and Gerald (Jeanie) Miller; niece Adeline (Donald) Knickerbocker; many cousins, great nieces and nephews, other loving friends and family.
