Obituary of Barbara K. Pasche
Barbara Kathleen (Meyer) Pasche was born on September 21, 1946 to Louis and Vera (Berger) Meyer in Tyler, MN. She was made a child of God with the washing of Holy Baptism on October 20, 1946 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church is Lake Benton, MN. Confirmed on June 12, 1960 also at St. John’s. Barb graduated in 1964 from Lake Benton High School. She went on to complete a nine-month business course at the Minnesota School of Business in Mankato. Following her education, she worked at a doctor’s accounting office, Kuusisto, Froehlich, Borgfelt and Siegal in downtown Minneapolis for ten years. She met Verlan when moonlighting at Dulano’s Pizza.
Verlan and Barb were united in marriage on September 20, 1969 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, and were married for almost 48 years. Barb worked Federal Cartridge in Anoka, MN for 25 years until she retired in 2012. Barb and Verlan moved to the country in 2006 where they enjoyed God’s country! She loved gardening and flowers and just being outside.
She has been a member of Hope Lutheran in Andover, MN for the past 24 years. She sang in the church choir, member and officer of the Ladies Guild, helped in the church office, provided aid to the Christian Day School (Cross of Christ), enjoyed bible study, and volunteered around the church when needed.
Barb is survived by her husband, Verlan; daughter Angela (Rodney) Cox of Forest Lake; daughter Carmen (Alan) Haiby of Clearwater; son Brian (fiancé Brandi Wiebrand) of Coon Rapids; daughter Dionne (Travis) Kittleson of Mankato; brother David (Cathy) Meyer of Mankato; five grandchildren, Brandon and Virginia Pasche, Alaina, Jaydin and Kinley Kittleson; two step grandchildren, Sebastian Cox, Wyatt Haiby and future grandson, Garrett Wisk; and many cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Louis and Vera (Berger) Meyer; one brother, Calvin Meyer; six uncles, Ray (Annie) Berger, Henry (Annie) Berger, Bill (Rose) Meyer, Charles (Leona) Meyer, Fred (Marie) Meyer, Robert (Ruth) Meyer; four aunts, Nora (Wm) Ludy, Lulu (Art) Anderson, Mary Berger, Edna Berger; nephew Mark Meyer and niece Rebecca Meyer Zellmann.
Our Lord sent his angels to Barb to carry her home on May 15th, 2017. At the age of 70 years, 7 months and 24 days, she died peacefully with her husband and daughter Angela at her side. Allina Care Hospice provided her at home care.
Memorial Gathering on Thursday, May, 18, 2017 from 6-8pm at Hope Ev. Lutheran Church, 16180 Round Lake Blvd NW in Andover, MN. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11:00AM also at church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Russow officiating. Music provided by Carol Bain. Her earthly remains will be committed at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
