Aww Dorothy I am so sad to learn of Al's passing .. you two were a unit, a partnership, best friends ..I know both of you through Cambridge Lutheran for so many many years ..Al was a bit intimidating until you knew his true soul .. I also grew up in SW Minnesota and came to Cambridge in 1977 about the time you were in the area. I must say this photo of Al is just wonderful ..please know you and your sons and family are in my heart and prayers as this is such a painful loss and will be always it seems. I guess our blessings and peace come from our wonderful memories .. not that they all are perfect and blissful but they will remain a part of our soul and life and hopefully bring joy and laughter when you share and remember .. I would like to be present for Al's celebration of life but am unable .. please know I will be praying and thinking of you this day and all days ahead .. sending love and hugs .. Rhonda

So sorry to hear of Al's passing. My sympathy to you & your family Dorothy. So enjoyed all the coffee times at McDonalds and at Perkins after church when I was in Cambridge visiting Dan & Ellen. Al will be missed by so many. Love and a hug from me Dorothy. MaryAnn

Al touched the lives of everyone he met, including the hundreds of kids (and their parents) that passed through Logos. He and Dorothy were not only table parents to Dominic for years, but friends thereafter. He will be greatly missed.

Al was a wonderful man who will truly be missed. Walking into church on Sunday morning will never be the same without his bright smile, warm greeting and positive words. We at cambridge Lutheran were blessed to have him a part of our church community.
