Obituary of Carleen M. Hanna
Carleen Moe Hanna, 83, of Forest Lake, MN and Clearwater, FL, went home to Jesus on Sunday June 25, 2017 at GracePointe Crossing in Cambridge, MN.
Carleen was born in Montevideo, MN to Lawrence B. and Elva P. Moe on May 2, 1934. After graduating from Montevideo High School in 1952, she attended Northwestern Hospital Nursing School in Mpls, MN., taking classes at Macalester College and graduating as a Registered Nurse. She worked for forty years as a certified nurse, operating room (CNOR) and enjoyed every minute.
Carleen married George “G.T.” Hanna on December 31, 1988 in St. Louis Park, MN. She enjoyed singing in her church choir, dancing with her husband George, the company of good friends and family, Old Movie Club, golf and sewing.
Carleen is preceded in death by her husband George “G.T.”; parents Lawrence and Elva Moe; brother Ellsworth Moe and infant grandson Robert Philip O’Neil. She is survived by her daughters Shannon (Lynn) O’Neil, Kristin (Dan) Otto; grandchildren; David (Angie) Bollin, Ryan (Jacqlyn) Schoen, Jesse (Jeff) Ehlenz, Marie (Aaron) Schutte and Grant O’Neil; great-grandchildren Madison Parades, Bailey & Carter Bollin, Weston, Cayden & Jackson Schoen, Dominic Ehlenz, Leo Schutte and expecting baby Ehlenz.
Also survived by her sister Patricia (Tony) Falco; aunts Delores Funk, Elvera Romness; and uncle Ed “Sonny” Smogard.
Memorial service 10 AM Wednesday July 26, 2017 at Ft Snelling Memorial Chapel, 1 Tower Ave, Mpls, MN.
Visitation 1 hour prior to service at the Chapel.
Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery
