Bob was two years ahead of me in High School, but I remembered him well as a youthful, good looking basketball player. We met again when Bob and Joyce spent a few winters in AZ where Ann and I used to live. We got caught up on our life histories so we got to know Bob much better as an entrepreneur, an honest politician, a banker, a great father, and grandfather - a kind and thoughtful person to everyone. He and Joyce made an attractive and well matched couple. Ann and I have talked about our pleasant relationships with the Becklins' often, and now, we know Joyce will take comfort with loving the rest of her family and benefit from the strengths they will provide.
