Obituary of Linda L. Knudson

Linda Lou Knudson, 68, of Forest Lake, formerly of Cambridge passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Windy Acres Long Term Care in Forest Lake.

She was born on July 17, 1949 in Cambridge, MN to Henry and Margaret (Olson) Kranz.  Linda grew up in Cambridge where she attended school.  At the age of 18 she moved to New York to work for a short time before returning to Cambridge.

On March 20, 1971, she was united in marriage to Ron Knudson in Isanti and to this union three children were born.

Over the years she worked at the egg factory, Cambridge State Hospital, she was a CNA at Grandview Christian Home and also worked at People’s Café.  But above all she was a homemaker

Linda enjoyed cooking, going to bible study, watching butterflies, searching for Coca Cola collectables, playing Scrabble, and spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.  She was quite a prankster, always playing a joke on someone.  She was known as “The gum lady”- always having Wrigley’s Spearmint gum.   Linda was very sincere and dedicated to her friends and family and nothing gave her more joy than her beloved cat "babe".

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Steven, Scott and Roberta.

Linda is survived by her husband Ron of Grasston, children Ed (Kelly) Knudson of Mora, Cory Knudson of Minneapolis, Sheri (Erin) Knudson of Coon Rapids, daughter in law Jodi Knudson of Cambridge, four grandchildren Kayla, Brian, Nick and Savannah Knudson, sister Valerie (Carl) Johnson of Cambridge, as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4-7PM, Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home in Cambridge with a Sharing Time at 6:30 PM.  Private interment at Cambridge Union Cemetery.
