Obituary of Betty Lou Psyck

Betty Lou Psyck, age 91, of Braham, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Ecumen of North Branch on September 7, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her husband George; son Richard Psyck; siblings Lloyd “Bud” Crocker, Ada Hansen, Carol Hawkinson, Elva Novak, Hazel Saunders, Myrtle “Dolly” Pearson, Stella Sieverkrop and Helen Snyder.

Betty is survived by her children; Georgia Melander, Darlene Mellgren, Cheryl (Philip) Smith, Tammy (Dave) Jenson and Jeff (Sue) Psyck .  She has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Betty loved baking and cooking.  She volunteered at SAC’s Senior dining in Cambridge as a baker.  She was affectionately known as “ Betty Crocker”. 

She especially loved the simple county life.  Tending her chickens and other animals.  Betty had the travel “Bug”.  She travelled extensively throughout Europe, concentrating on her Polish ancestry.
