Obituary of Carole M. Christopherson

            Carole Marie (Koski) Christopherson, age 77, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Rosewood Senior Living in Cambridge.

            Carole was born on August 18, 1940, in Minneapolis, to Bernard and Bernice Koski.  She attended school in Finlayson.  She married Arnold Christopherson on February 28, 1959 in Finlayson.      

            She worked as a beloved daycare provider for the community in her home for over 40 years.  To her children, it seemed as though she provided daycare to half the town.   Carole’s interests were around kids, collecting decorations for the family Christmas tree and collector spoons.   She will always be remembered for her baking (cookies, bread and rolls), gardening, and, of course, her cats.

            Carole was preceded in death by her parents and brother Norman.  She is survived by her husband, Arnold Christopherson; sisters Barbara (Thorval) Moen, Judith (Marvin) LaValle, Jayne (Walt) Iverson; sons Dale (Trisha) Christopherson of Andover, MN, Scott Christopherson of Maple Lake, MN; daughters Sandra Bishop of Plymouth, MN, Lynne (John) Fischl of Roseville, CA, Laura (Bill) Spartz of Monticello, MN, Angela (Mike) Yoerger of Ramsey, MN and Sharon (Brian) Crawford of Cambridge, MN; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

            Honorary urn bearers will be Benjamin Spartz, Brian Fischl, Christopher Bishop, Colton Christopherson, Daniel Fischl, James Fischl, John Bishop, Luke Crawford and Mark Bishop.      

          A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Cambridge Lutheran Church with Pastor Emily Martin officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at the church.

        In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
