Obituary of Jeffery L. Newstrom

Jeffery L. Newstrom, 74, of Princeton, formerly of Isanti passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Hennepin County Medical Center.

            He was born August 26, 1943 in Minneapolis, MN to Louis Harvey and Marion (Olson) Newstrom.  Jeff grew up in the Camden area of Minneapolis and graduated from Henry High School in 1961.  He worked various jobs in Minneapolis before working at Northstar Computer Forms.   

            On September 9, 1964 he was united in marriage to Nancy Bartness in South Dakota.  They lived in Minneapolis until 1973 when they bought their home west of Isanti and raised their four children.  He would retire from Northstar at age 55 due to failing health and in 1995 he started his own family business, Presto Print, in Cambridge and operated that until 2012. In more recent years, Jeff and Nancy moved to a cottage on Green Lake near Princeton and also spent winters in Panama City Beach, Florida.

            Jeff enjoyed fishing, attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events over the years, playing cards, and watching western movies.  He was a wonderful father and grandfather who loved spending time with family and was very active in his grandchildren’s lives  

            He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Marion Newstrom, son Chad Newstrom in 1990, and brother Ronald Newstrom.

            Jeff is survived by his wife Nancy, children Steven Newstrom of Isanti, Debbie and husband Paul Ramey of Cambridge, Louis Newstrom of Fridley, seven grandchildren Jacob and Jessica Newstrom, Joseph, Jordan, Ryan and Kylea Ramey and Quinn Newstrom, brother Tim and wife Jeannie Newstrom of Grand Rapids, MN, as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

            Funeral Services will be held at 11AM, Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti with Rev. Clifton Hanson officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in Isanti Union Cemetery.
