Obituary of Robert W. Olson

            Robert Wallace Olson, age 71, of Bradford Township, passed away suddenly on December 6, 2017, at his residence.

            Robert was born on April 12, 1946, in Stanchfield, Minnesota, to Wallace and Florence (Kluck) Olson. He attended Bradford School, District 7, through 7th grade and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1964.

            Farming was a great love of his from an early age and even though he pursued other things such as carpentry, he always only wanted to farm.  His other love was being a father and grandfather which he was when he began sharing his life with Verla. These were his happiest years.

            He was preceded in death by his parents and Verla's son Joel Nelson

            Robert is survived by his life-partner Verla Nelson of Cambridge, sisters Janet (Gary) Palmquist of Cambridge and Mary (Tom) Walstrom of Plymouth, MN, Verla's family, Renae Carpenter of Cambridge, Jeanna Nelson of Harvey, ND and Lisa (Jade) West of Eureka, WI; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

            Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Carlson- Lillemoen Funeral Home in Cambridge with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Interment will take place in the Cambridge Lutheran Church Cemetery at a later date.
