Obituary of Ronald M. Stephenson
Ronald M. Stephenson, age 82, of New Braunfels, Texas, formerly of Ruthton, Minnesota, passed away peacefully in his favorite chair with his wife by his side on December 30, 2017.
He was born on July 9, 1935 to Melvin and Evelyn Stephenson in Ruthton, Minnesota where he lived throughout his childhood years. During World War II, Ronald moved with his parents to Spokane, Washington, traveling in a Ford Model T. After living in Washington, Ronald moved back to Minnesota. He started working for Gillette Company at the age of 17 and retired after 33 years.
Upon retiring, Ronald and his wife, Lila, traveled and lived in Florida, Tennessee and Minnesota, then finally settled down in New Braunfels, Texas. There, he enjoyed dancing with Lila, golfing with his buddies and eating and playing cards with his many friends.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Lila; children Rod (Cheryl) Stephenson, Denise Nelson, Kathy (George) Berndt and Karen Lucas; grandchildren Scott Stephenson, Jeremy (Jamie) Littlefield, Jennifer Berndt, Kayla Berndt, Natalie Berndt, Jamie Rodgers & Cody Rodgers; great-grandchildren Cole and Maddison Higby and Leland and Lanessa Littlefield; sister Carol Overgaauw; brother James Stephenson; brother-in-law Emery Sumption and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Holly Stephenson, grandson Scott Lucas, sister Arlene Sumption and brothers Dennis and Delbert Stephenson.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 8, 2018 at the Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 Interment will be at the Cambridge Union Cemetery immediately following the service.
