I was saddened to hear of Frances' passing. But 95 years is a good long run. I have many fond memories of Frances, first from when she was a volunteer with the Isanti County Historical Society, then as one of the pie race assistants for Braham's Pie Day event and also when she, Glenn and Karen were part of the Swedish Exchange program at the community college and we spent a wonderful week in Orsa, Sweden. Frances was also part of the delegation to the National Pie Celebration in Orlando, FL, and it was a pretty raucous time with 13 of us from the Braham, Cambridge area sharing a house in the middle of an orange grove. I always admired Frances' interest in learning new things and her willingness to help out however, or wherever, she could. I also appreciated her quiet (and quick) sense of humor. These same traits are observable in her descendants! Farewell to a great lady!
