Obituary of Richard R. Krueger

Richard Robert Krueger, 70, of Cambridge, formerly of Mora passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.

            He was born on June 16, 1947 in South Bend, Indiana to Robert and Julia (Vairo) Krueger.  Richard graduated high school in South Bend and went on to graduate from Ball State University with a Bachelors Degree.  He would go on to earn a Master’s Degree at the University of Minnesota in Theater.

            Richard taught school on Boston and Germany for 10 years.  He was co-owner, with his partner Robert Strom, of Robrick, Inc. in Minneapolis for 28 years.  He retired in 2012

            Richard enjoyed traveling, living in Germany for seven years, and spending time at his cabin and home on Knife Lake in Mora for 27 years.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, brother David Krueger, and nephew Michael Krueger.  Richard is survived by his life partner of 40 years Robert Strom of Cambridge, sister Christine Krueger of South Bend, IN, and many dear friends including Norma Elgan, Cheryl Wenz, Danny & Julia Grant.

            A Celebration of Richard’s life will be held later this Spring with a private interment to follow.
