We were so saddened to hear of Jeff's death! I apologize for sending this so late, but we are currently living in Bulgaria and only heard recently. Jeff was such a sweetheart! I first met him as I high school kid when I was subbing as a leader for a YL retreat. Our paths only crossed occasinally over the years, but it was always great to reconnect! We pray that God continues to give you peace even as you grieve your loss. Blessings, Kathy

Jeff will always be remembered as as an honest a true friend and is sorely missed. Having been an almost part of his family,..... Having essentially been taken in as a 3rd son of George and Shirley during my college yrs, Jeff was essentially a brother..... And his loss really hurts. Jeffs heart was always true and his storytelling a legend in the whole continent, I will forever smile remembering the stories he could tell. Jeff was always the go to guy whenever anyone ever needed help as he would stop everything to help a friend in need. Jeff you will be sorely missed by all of us who had the privilege to know you and experience your energy and love of life..... Including truck driving stories. Thank you Jeff for the memories and for being an amazing friend....... I will value those memories forever.

Jeff was part of our wedding back in 2000. Good times, good laughs and good memories. His larger than life presence will be sadly missed, but we can only imagine that his fascinating stories are now being shared with the ones that passed before us. We will miss you dear friend...till we meet again.

Our hearts are sad for all of Jeff’s family and friends.....a Jeff memory from me.
It was in winter 1984, long time ago, I was driving on CR 70 saw a little bitty car in the ditch at the curve, no one by the car. I kept driving saw a very large man walking on the road. I stopped and very carefully rolled down the window, “is that your car in the ditch?” This large man turned to answer me and I said “Jeff Johnson, get in this car I will drive you to the Shop(Olson’s Construction) Dick will bring something to pull your car out of the ditch. He smiled and chuckled got in the car. Love, Dick and Karyn

One of the coolest things I ever did was to go on a truck trip with Jeff. It must have been May of ‘79 because I, having a freshly “broken heart”, needed a change of scenery and big-hearted Jeff said “Oh come on, ride along with me.” He had just met Jan a few days earlier and it had to be love at first sight...because he couldn’t stop talking about her! We drove from Minneapolis to Crystal Sugar in Thief River Falls to Chicago, Ohio and the states inbetween. Jammin’ to Dire Straits and Supertramp, laughing and talking to other truckers on the CB and hearing the craziest stories at truck stops along the way. That trip was was totally hilarious and therapeutic at the same time! So lucky to have his friendship. It is a time I will never forget. The world is sure gonna miss this guy. Thanks for everything Jeff.

I only knew Jeff a short time while he worked at Lefebvre and sons, but Jeff and I spent hours telling Trucking stories back and forth, every story he told had the upmost detail made me feel like I was there. I send my condolences to all of his family that after I met him I know meant so much to him, he would always talk about them.
