Obituary of Joanne Rose Moschkau

Joanne R. Moschkau age 68 of Cambridge passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Mercy Hospital on Aug 29, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward Moschkau and  Edith Glenna, step-father Milton “Mike” Glenna; brothers James, Richard and Douglas; brother-in-law Chuck Tyler.

Joanne is survived by her devoted children; Teresa (Bob) Schoenwald and Mitch (Robin) Moschkau. She was a loving Grandmother of her “Dirt Bag” grandsons, Brent and Daniel Schoenwald.

Also survived by her siblings; Gary (Patricia) Moschkau, Janet Moschkau ( Jerry Lachinski), Chuck ( his lovely Wife Patricia), Glen (Peggy) Moschkau, Duane (Pam) Moschkau; step-siblings Michael (Cherri) Soden, Dan (Deb) Soden, Cindy (Len) DeBroeck,     Vicki Tyler ,  Randy Glenna and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Joanne was born in Rice Lake, WI.  She attended High School in Eau Claire, WI.  After high school, she worked as a nursing assistant in Eau Claire.  Moving back to Minnesota, after a few years in Eau Claire, she worked at the Anoka State Hospital and Cambridge State Hospital.  Joanne changed careers and went to work for Honeywell. She retired after 30 years as a factory clerk. During her time at Honeywell, she was the Union Steward, representing the factory clerks.  She was a tenacious advocate for her fellow workers.

During her “off time”, she was very lucky at the casino as well as bingo.   She loved her flower gardens, sewing, knitting and watching the Minnesota State High School Hockey tournament,  always rooting for the small schools.  She especially enjoyed spending time socializing with family and friends.

Memorial service 11 AM Wed Sept 5 at Karmel Covenant Church 5799 Cty Rd 6 NW, Princeton.

Visitation 1 hour prior to service at the church.

Interment Private

Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
