I grew up with Luther in East Elmhurst. What adventures we had driving out to his sisters house , great memories!
Fun Stories he'd tell about living in Minnesota, & couldn't wait to get back. I often thought about him and wonder how he was, as one minute he was here & the next he was gone. Elusive was best to describe him! I'm glad he lived a good life & loved , & had family around him as he left. ❤ " Junbug"

Dad, I know logically that you already know how I feel and how your absence has broken my heart. I will never be the same ..ever in my life. I miss talking to you. I've called you, expecting for you to answer., out of habit. I called today just to hear your voice. We're 20 years difference in age and you have taught me so much in my lifetime. We were very much alike and made some choices that weren't beneficial to ourselves, at that point in our lives , In all our personal and unified choices..It made us stronger as individuals and brought us closer together in our Father/ Daughter relationship. We loved hard, played hard, fought hard, and forgave each other. No matter what... I always forgave you... And you forgave me. We loved each other unconditionally. My love for you is eternal. I light a candle everyday since you've been gone, and will everyday till my demise. And I know you are with me every moment because your blood is running through my veins. In some of our last conversations.... We discussed and you knew in your heart that I "finally got it" I owe that to you. You planted the seed of Jesus, by watching your transformation after your acceptance of Christ as your Personal Saviour. When the Hospice nurse on Thusday 11-3-11 the day you passed. After she assessed your condition and came out to talk to us. She said " That you're passing is the most peaceful passing, she has EVER witnessed in 22 years of Hospice Service" Chaplain Steve came over around 3:30 pm and we met outside sitting on the bench. He really helped me understand your passing process and that your spirit was going to heaven. He said he could feel it.. Even before entering the building. Once he came in and did his assesment. He came out and had a smile on his face.. " And said you were surrounded by angels... And your room was offciallly Sacred Ground and a very Special spiritual process was taking place and the gates to Heaven were open and you were one of "The Chosen Ones" I'm eternally grateful to both of them... They both helped me understand the process of your passing. Dad I miss you more than mere words can describe, your physical self. Your spirit will be alive eternally. You touched so many people's lives with your humor, your smile and your welcoming presence. I saw a quote today and of course thought of you..... " If you love somebody enough, You can still hear The laughter after Their gone" I can hear your voice, laughter, coughing, singing, joke and story telling and it brings a smile to my face. I have my memories of our 43 years on this earth together. Even though you are not here physically.... You are with me always in spirit and my thoughts...you own my heart. I feel privledged to be your Daughter and will carry on your legacy of Social Service and giving back to the community. You are a great Father and I thank you for teaching me to become the person I have become....Our love is eternal..... Your loving daughter, Andrea Tuesday December 06, 2011 4:43am
