Obituary of Gerald Lee Doble

Gerald Lee Doble, 81, of Cambridge passed away on September 17, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.

            Jerry loved horses and shared his passion for horses with his grandchildren.  He also enjoyed judging horse shows.  For many years Jerry, along with his wife Bonnie, raised quarter horses and went trail riding as often as possible with friends.

            Jerry is survived by his wife Bonnie of 37 years, along with 10 siblings.  Jerry’s sisters include: Ramona LaBeau, Maggie LaBeau, Rosemary Durham, Nancy (Hugh) Peabody, Edie (Hank) Eggert, Karyn (Dick) Olson and sister-in-law Teresa Doble. Jerry’s brothers include Les (Arleen) Doble, Doug (Rita) Doble, Darwin (Jackie) Doble and Stan (Karen) Doble.  Jerry also has five daughters:  Jody (Rob) Dudrey, Maritt  (Scott) Dudrey, Debbie (Jeff) Mayer, Terry Bakken (special friend Jerry Kopp) and Diane (Mike) Eklund.

            Jerry is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Gabriel Dudrey, Anne Ferenz, Chris Dudrey, Moriah Lindblom, Heidi Herbst, Christopher Colburn, Reed Bakken, Blair McCartney, Ethan Eklund, Nicolette Frederick; 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

            Jerry was preceded in death by his mother Ellen (Olson) Doble, father Art Doble, brother Howard Doble; sisters Lorraine Olson and Sandy Olson; son-in-law Brad Bakken; granddaughter Rachelle Colburn and brothers-in-law Kenny LaBeau, Clarence LaBeau and Lowell Durham.

            The family of Jerry Doble wishes to extend our sincere thanks to St. Croix Hospice for their wonderful care over the last five months.

 

            A celebration of life will take place Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Isanti Community Center from 5-7:30 PM with a remembrance service at 6 PM.  A light meal will be served.

            In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be sent to the Parkinson Disease Foundation at http://www.parkinson.org.
