Obituary of Joel Louis Matteson, Jr

Joel Louis Matteson Jr. “JoJo”, age 51 of Cambridge, MN passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2018 at the Cambridge Medical Center in Cambridge, MN.

            JoJo was born in Minneapolis, MN on July 18, 1967.  JoJo and Darla purchased a home in Isanti, MN in 1995.

            JoJo was married to his childhood sweetheart Darla on January 16, 1995 in Hawaii.

            He was preceded in death by his infant triplets Heaven, Matthew and Hannah; mother Linda Kuhn LaFrance, grandfather Marvin Gilbert Matteson, grandmother Verchie Lee Berry, grandfather Gerald LaFrance, grandmother Harriett LaFrance.

            JoJo is survived by his loving wife Darla, daughter Jolyn and son Jaxten; father Joel (Shareen) Matteson Sr.

He is also survived by his brothers Ronald (Julie) Matteson, Andrew Matteson, Nicholas (Heather) Matteson; sister Christina (Louis) Jenkins and many other relatives and friends.

            He loved hunting, fishing and being outdoors, but most of all he loved his family and friends.

            A celebration of his life will be held Friday October 12, 2018  at the Isanti Community Center 208 ½ 1^st Ave. NW Isanti, MN 55040.  The celebration will be from 4-8 PM.   Friends may gather at 4 PM for sharing of memories and condolences. His service will be held at 5 followed by a light dinner.
