Obituary of George Carl Bazey

            George Carl Bazey died Thursday, November 15, 2018 in Bentonville, Arkansas. George was born September 7, 1932 in Warsaw, North Dakota to Joseph and Mae (Clark) Bazey.

            George served two years in the National Guard and three years in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 100 in Rogers, Arkansas. He served as a Gideon and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.  On May 22, 1954, he married his wife Bernice. To this marriage five children were born.

            He survived by his wife of 64 years, Bernice (Miller) Bazey. He also survived by his four children, Joel Bazey (Lois) of Isanti, Minnesota; Betty Clark (Doug) of Alexandria, Louisiana; Vernon Bazey (Karen) of Bella Vista, Arkansas; and Judy Lanyon (Darren) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. George dearly loved his eleven grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren. George survived by his brothers Joseph, Leonard, John, Ernest, and Richard Bazey. George was also survived by his sister Shirley La Mere, Marie Bazey and brother-in-law Bill (Lottie) Miller.

            George was preceded in death by infant son Matthew, his parents, and sisters Johanna Peterson and Elaine Ostenson.

            Funeral Services will be held at 10:30AM, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Lunch to follow with Interment at the Lone Pine Cemetery in Morrill, Minnesota with Military Honors.
