Mr Doran was the reason we had such a great school. Everything he did was for us and he was the reason Greenbush High School was outstanding. He was a strong presence for us but always very approachable. We knew he cared. I always liked and admired him. My deepest sympathy. Carolynn Kilen

My thoughts and prayers go out to Elmer's family. I had great respect for Elmer when he was my School Principal
If schools were run the way Mr. Doran run our school, we wouldn't have all the school problems we have today. God bless Elmer's memory and the influence he left with us.

Dennis, I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. I have so many good memories of when we used to live by you when we were so young. Mr. Doran had a great interaction with students and was a very respected Principal of Greenbush High School. We enjoyed joking with him during our high school years. He was a great person and prayers to his family.

Elmer was my next door neighbor and he used to tell me to get a haircut and tuck my shirt in when he was principal, I told him I didn't have any money and he would pay for me to get a haircut. I have the utmost respect for this man who did everything he could to bring out the best in all of us. I will be forever indebted to him for everything he did to make me a better person. Many wonderful memories of me tormenting him and he forgiving me. My last conversation with him was that he owed me for me keeping him in such good shape because he had to chase after me all those years in high school. You were a good man Elmer and I owe you. Rest in Peace!
