Obituary of Mary Ellen Grothe

Mary Ellen Grothe, 77, of Cambridge passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at The Estates at Rush City.

            She was born on September 30, 1941 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Henry and Mary (Konicek) Grothe.  Mary Ellen grew up and attended country school and high school in Rush City. 

            Mary Ellen worked at Wolcyn’s Tree Farm and also at People’s Café.  She retired in 2009.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Leona O’Neil, Clarence Grothe, Raymond Grothe, and Ella Grothe.  Mary Ellen is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

            Funeral Services will be held at 11AM, Friday, March 1, 2019 at Cross Pointe Church, Cambridge.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Pine City. 

         Memorials are preferred to the Cross Pointe Church, 34047 Blackfoot St NW, Cambridge, MN 55008.
