CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR
PATTY L. DEWEY
Patty Lou Dewey (Pickerel) was called Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 9th, 2019.
November 27, 1937, Patty was born to Virgil and Gladys (Spainhower) Pickerel in Stanberry, MO. She lived there until 1962 when she and her husband, Byron Dewey, moved to Red Wing, MN. They and their three children moved to Cambridge, MN in 1966. Their fourth son was born shortly after.
Patty worked various jobs, such as at a dime store or selling Tupperware. Her greatest blessings in life were her 11 grandchildren, . She was sweet and sassy, and fiercely independent. You never had to worry about what her true thought was, because chances are you had already heard it. The only thing she loved more than her family was Jesus. She served faithfully for 81 years, truly had a servant’s heart, and always did a job well done.
She is survived by her brother Bob (Wanda) Pickerel of Albany, MO; children, David (Maureen) Dewey of Cambridge; Myron Dewey of Big Lake; Mark (Jen) Dewey of Isanti; and Eric (Susanna) Dewey of Cambridge; as well as eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and many extended family and friends. She is proceeded in death by parents Virgil and Gladys Pickerel, sister Joanna Pickerel, sister-in-law Dee Pickerel, husband Byron Dewey, children Matthew and Vanessa, grandchildren Chris and Emily Dewey, and great-granddaughter Lilly.
