Obituary of Dwight Richard Oman

Dwight R. Oman age 78 of Cambridge, passed away on July 20, 2019 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital after a 1 ½ year battle with cancer.

Dwight was born on June 24, 1941 to Archie & Ann Oman in Braham, MN.  He graduated from Cambridge High School in 1960.  He was drafted into the US Army and served in Vietnam.  He returned home and started working as a truck driver for Land O Lakes and Olson & Son Excavating in Cambridge, MN.

Dwight was an avid classic car enthusiast. He loved his 40’s and 50’s Fords.

He was preceded in death by his parents Archie & Ann, step-daughter Cindy Edstrom.

Dwight is survived by his wife of 24 years, Vonnie; son Mike (Kristen) Scheiber and their children Jessica & Jackson.  Step-children Randy Elmstrand, Brad (Joni) Elmstrand, Laurie Elmstrand, Step-son-in-law Mike Edstrom.  Step-grandchildren Ryan (Jennie) Edstrom, Garret (Danielle) Edstrom, Justin (Jim) Llanas and Barry Elmstrand and 4 step-great-grandchildren.

Also survived by many special family and friends.

Memorial service 11 AM Wednesday July 24, 2019 at Cambridge Lutheran Church 621 Old North Main St. Cambridge.

Visitation 1 hour prior to service at the church on Wednesday
