Kim Olson

Obituary of Kim L. Olson

Kim L. Olson, 60, went on to her next adventure in heaven on September 4th 2019. She was born January 11th 1959 to Kenneth and Diane (Johnson) Olson. She grew up in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1977.  She went on to graduate from University of Southern California with a degree in business.  Kim lived in Southern California most of her life. She was an entrepreneur at heart and worked hard at various business ventures throughout her life.  Kim was also a faithful member of Saddleback Church for many years.

Kim was known as “whirlwind” by her mother and was always on the move and would never pass up an opportunity. Friends would often say “24 hours with Kim is like a week with anyone else.” This is because she did everything possible in a very short time and then some!  She loved a challenging workout, a day at the beach, watching football and a good glass of wine. She cherished the time spent with family at the cabin during the summers.  Kim celebrated her life daily! She lived an abundant life; traveled, met new people and experienced things beyond her dreams.

In Kim’s own words: One of the greatest gifts I was given was the feeling of being content in my life. I ask you to reminisce with smiles, laughs and treasured memories of fun times we had together or of the good things I’ve tried to do.  I pray someone’s life will be better having known me and I leave knowing I made a difference in lives.  Confidently I can say, “when I knew better-I lived better.”  Please don’t be sad, instead be happy for me.  I know, without a doubt I’m going to Heaven!   Keep in mind, God had this day planned before I was even born.  I’ve fulfilled my purpose for my life and now I’m where all things are perfect all of the time! Kim found comfort often in Romans 8:28 “We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called accordingly to his purpose for them.”

She is survived by her father, Kenneth, mother Diane, sister Rhonda (Mark) Leaf, step-brother Jeremy Olson, nieces Brittni (Luis) Buller, Briana (Blake) Berg, Blair (Andrew) Hendel, and great nieces and nephew: Kinsley, Brinley, and Parker, as well as many dear friends and family.

Kim finally went “home,” as a result of a rare neurological disease; Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.  Memorials are preferred to Cure PSP, https://www.psp.org/
