Obituary of Barbara Elfmann

Barbara Jean Elfmann, 58, of New Brighton, formerly of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2007 at the New Brighton Health and Rehab Center. She was born to Earl and Clara (Lewis) Baumgartner on August 7, 1949 in Braham, Minnesota. She grew up on a farm one mile south of Day, Minnesota and graduated from Braham High School in 1967. She went on to graduate from Mrs. Robbinson's Beauty School in December 1967. In August 1968 she married Joseph Carmichael. He passed away in June 1970. She later married Ray Elfmann in June 1972 and Ray passed away in May 1996. Barbara worked at the State Hospital in Cambridge in various departments for a total of 24 years. She then went to school for Medical Records and worked at the Cambridge Medical Center. Barb was an avid reader and loved crocheting and doing sudoku puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe, husband Ray and her mother and father. Barb is survived by her brother Jeremy Baumgartner of Blaine, sister Dagna and husband Gary Meyer of Bloomington, step children Glen and wife Bonnie Elfmann, Irene and husband Rick Stark, sisters-in-law Dora Schmidt and Erna Elfmann, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
