Obituary of Helen Lundquist
Helen Mabel Lundquist, 100, of Cambridge passed away Friday, December 14, 2007 at the Cambridge Health Care Center.
She was born August 29, 1907 in Bradford Township, Minnesota to John and Hulda (Stein) Amschler. She was a longtime resident of Cambridge and also lived in St. Paul and Walker. She was a member of the Cambridge American Legion Women's Auxiliary Post #290 and a longtime member of the Cambridge Lutheran Church.
Helen, along with her family and friends joined in celebration of her life at her 100th Birthday Party held in her honor this past August. Helen loved sewing, her specialty was handmade Barbie clothing. She also enjoyed baking and gardening. Her natural wit and cleverness will be missed but replaced with the knowledge that she now resides with her God and the family that has gone before. All who have had the opportunity to know Helen have surely been enriched.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Clifford Wood, Clarence Johnson and Byron Lundquist, son Lloyd Wood, daughter Loretta Owens (Wood), son-in-law Homer "Sonny" Owens, grandson Patrick Wood, brothers and sisters.
Helen is survived by brother Roy Amschler of Arizona, daughter-in-law Shirley Wood, ten grandchildren Mike (Jane) Wood, Kathy (Ben) Pfeifer, Bill (Margie) Wood, Fran (Mike) Friedman, Anne (Mike) Rachuy, Cindy (Ed) Tischler, Eric (Laura) Owens, Lief (Patience) Owens, Garth (Sandra) Owens, Wolf (Sherri) Owens, 21 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, as well as her friends and adopted family (staff) at the Cambridge Health Care Center.
