Obituary of Janet Agranoff

Janet Agranoff of Cambridge died on Friday, January 4, 2008 at Grandview Christian Home at the age of 90. She was born on July 9th, 1917 to Arvid and Hannah Oslund on a farm in the Brunswick community south of Mora. Janet attended the Brunswick School and Mora High School. After high school Jan moved to Minneapolis and worked for Munsingwear. Jan married Louis Agranoff of Minneapolis in 1940. After Louis finished military duty in World War II, they worked together in the garment industry of Minneapolis. At one point they owned and ran their own dress manufacturing company. She went on to work in retail sales of many different products over the next several decades. Jan sold real estate, furniture, bridal gowns, and uniforms for many different companies. She and her husband Louis made their home in the Minneapolis area until they moved to St. Francis in 1982. Jan is survived by her son Paul, his wife Becky, and her grandson Nick all of Isanti; sister Luella Peterson of Braham; sister Leona Erickson of Mora; sister Eunice Schultz of Mankato; and brother Hilding Oslund of New Hope, MN. Jan was preceded in death by her husband Louis; sisters Mabel Chiari and Adeline Rowley; and brother Wallace Oslund.
