Obituary of Jill Wicht

Jill Rene Wicht, 42, of Cambridge passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 in Rock Creek, MN. She was born on July 6, 1965 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jill grew up in Cambridge, graduating from Cambridge High School in 1983. After high school she attended the Medical Institute of Minnesota. On November 29, 1986 she was united in marriage to Timothy Wicht at the Oxford Baptist Church and they had two beautiful children, Amanda and Ryan. Jill took time off from working as a Medical Assistant to raise her children, and later attended Anoka Ramsey Community College where she earned a degree in accounting. She worked in accounting at the Cambridge American Legion, East Central Sanitation and most recently at Bluewater Yachts in Mora. Jill was an active member of Cambridge United Methodist Church, recently appointed Finance Chair. She was also a member of the Cambridge American Legion Auxiliary and was very active in her children's activities. Jill was the "go to" girl for many friends and family, she knew how to get things done! The little bit of down time she had was filled with books, movies, chocolate, and as much beach time as possible. Traveling was also becoming a love of Jill's. Jill loved her family and friends, and we all loved her right back! Our lives have been changed forever. She will be deeply missed. Jill is survived by her daughter Amanda Wicht of Cambridge, son Ryan Wicht of Cambridge, mom and dad Jackie and Mike Oslund of Cambridge, father Richard Steele of Fargo, ND, special friend Brad Cook of Rock Creek, former husband Tim Wicht of Cambridge, sisters Jodi Oslund (Rick Bishop) of Isanti, Erin (Mike) Yerigan of Cambridge, brother Mike Oslund of Cambridge, grandparents Dean and Joyce Anderson of Cambridge, grandparents Sid and Delores Oslund of Cambridge, as well as many other relatives and friends.
