Obituary of Ida Bahr

Ida A. Bahr, 97, of Osseo, formerly of Crown passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at her home at Berkshire Residence in Osseo. Ida was born on November 15, 1915 in Zimmerman, Minnesota to Andrew and Jorna (Sandvold) Valen. She grew up in the Crown area where she attended school. She married Ralph H. Bahr and they made their home in Crown. Ida lived a long and fulfilling life with many years spent farming and raising their children. She was deeply devoted to the Lord and was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church of Crown. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, reading and especially spending time with her family. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members. Ida was a caring soul who was quick with a smile and words of encouragement. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 62 years Ralph, siblings Alf Valen, Oscar Valen, Judy Jensen and Elsie Sanborn. She is survived by her loving children Dean Bahr (Sue Drager) of Paynesville, Barbara (Jerry) Priddy of Anoka, Lloyd (Kathryn) Bahr of Mora, Suzanne McColley (Bob Jung) of Spring Lake Park, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who love and cared for her.
