Obituary of Leonard Putnam

Leonard Irvin Putnam, 79, of Anoka passed away at The Homestead of Anoka, Minnesota on Wednesday, May 8, 2013. He was born October 7, 1933 in Anoka, Minnesota to Julian "Jim" and Emma (Johnson) Putnam. He was united in marriage to Betty Joanne Allison in 1955. Leonard lived his greater years at his home in Cedar, Minnesota. He retired from St. Francis High School in 1992 after 16 years of dedicated work. Leonard was a long-time member of the Meadow Creek Baptist Church in Andover. Leonard is survived by his children Timothy Dale Putnam of Clear Lake and Teresa Marie Putnam of Buffalo; brothers Merrill (Viola) Putnam of Anoka and Ronald Putnam of Circle Pines; sisters-in-law Janice (nee Allison) Grant of Cedar as his care taker in his later years, Jeanette (Ken) Ferguson of Anoka, Bernice O'Heron of Minneapolis, and Sharon Allison of Big Lake, and many nieces & nephews. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers Raymond, Lowell, Willard and sisters Julia and Louise.
