Obituary of Marjorie Magnuson

Marjorie Mae Magnuson, 86, of Cambridge, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West. She was born November 5, 1926 in Minneapolis, MN to Carl and Mildred (Mitchell) Sliper. The family lived a time in Kingsdale, MN and would move to Dresser, WI. Marge attended school in Dresser and graduated from Dresser High School. After high school she moved to Minneapolis and worked for some time there. She met Don Magnuson and they would marry on February 17, 1961 at The Little Brown Church in The Vale in Iowa. They lived in North Branch where they started their family and farmed until 1969 when they moved to Cambridge. Marge worked in bookkeeping at Peoples State Bank and retired from there after several years. After retiring, Don and Marge traveled and enjoyed camping, and went on several group trips with Peoples Bank. She was a member of Cambridge Lutheran Church. Marge enjoyed doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and reading. She is survived by her husband Don Magnuson of Cambridge, sons Don Magnuson of Cambridge, Rick and wife Julie Magnuson of Ramsey, four grandchildren Christine Brockner, Steven Brockner, Brian Brockner and Elizabeth Ronning (Shawn), four great grandchildren Chase and Isaac Magnuson, Landon and Mya Ronning, as well as several other relatives and friends.
