I worked for Charlie at St Francis for a few years as secretary. I remember one Christmas he drove all the way to my house on Christmas Eve Day to bring me my present. He had gone to Engebretsen's and got me a Swedish candelabra. It was beautiful and must have cost him a lot. I was so touched. I still have it and put it out every year. This year, I will wish Charlie a Merry Christmas when I put it out. He was a very caring man. Was always so good to me and I always had a place in my heart for Charlie. Rest in peace good man. You will be missed.

I will always remember the days Greg Nelson, Mike Ledin and I were bat boys when Charlie ran the team. It was an awesome time of growing up and Charlie was a great example to learn from. I will always be grateful for knowing him. ps, He was also the 1st one to take me aside when I was about 14 and ask if I knew about deodorant. Love that man always!

Nancy and Jody,
My deepest sympathy and love to you both. I will always remember Charlie as a "forever friend". I met Charlie way back in the 60's, he and Gary were good friends and baseball was their love. We shared many nights and weekends watching the guys play town ball and high school games together. Charlie always had a smile and was the kindest man.
After all these years whenever I came to Cambridge he always would be sure to talk to me. I know you had a wonderful and full life together.

Charlie was a man of character and he was quite a "character" himself. Susan and I will miss his story telling during our get togethers and will remember him fondly as a person who was larger than life and had a love for his family and friends.

From your cabin neighbors we will miss Charlie very much, and our condolences to Nancy and Jodi and the rest of the Johnson extended family. We've had many years of good conversations and enjoying life at the lake with Charlie and you as neighbors..
