Obituary of Doris Maske
Doris Mae Maske, 91, a current resident of St. Anthony Health Center, formerly of the Wyanett, Cambridge, and New Brighton area.
She was born on August 14, 1922 in Wyanett Township, Minnesota to John and Lena (Halverson) Norling. Doris attended country school in Wyanett and graduated from Cambridge High School. After high school she worked a time at the Cambridge Woolen Mills. Doris would move to various other areas of the country but spent most of her life in Minnesota.
She married Kenneth Niles and they made their home in Cambridge. The two eventually would divorce. Doris married Walter Maske on August 21, 1964 and they remained in Cambridge. Walter passed away in June 1965. Doris stayed in Cambridge for short time but would move to the metro area. She worked at Federal Cartridge in Anoka and Spring Realty and spent more years working for the telephone company both in Illinois and Minnesota and would go on to retire from the telephone company.
Doris enjoyed various craft activities and was proficient at knitting. Other interests were gardening and some traveling; going on several trips over the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, second husband Walter Maske in June 1965, first husband Kenneth Niles in November 1972, sister Helen Larson. Doris is survived by nephew Ken and wife Diane Larson of Ham Lake, niece Sharon and husband John Baldwin of Princeton, and cousin Lorraine Roberts of Iowa. She is also survived by her dear and devoted friends Miriam Sparre and Nancy Syse of Fridley, who faithfully spent time with her over the years.
