Obituary of Linda Ostrom

Linda C. Ostrom, 63, of Grandy passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. Linda was born on February 12, 1950 in Braham, MN to John and Gloria (Leaf) Bergstrom. She has one sister Liana. Linda graduated from Cambridge High School in 1968, and then she attended nursing school and became a registered nurse. On June 12, 1971 she married Wayne Ostrom and they had two children; Kresta and Kami. Linda continued to work as a registered nurse until 2000 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. In the upcoming years, she received successful treatments for her cancer. She enjoyed vacationing in the Brainerd Lakes area and in the Mille Lacs Lake area for many years. For the past 17 years she enjoyed camping, boating and fishing on Lake Superior. Linda took great enjoyment in going to many different casinos and taking trips to Arizona and Canada. She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by husband Wayne Ostrom of Grandy; daughters Kami (Todd) Peterson of Zimmerman and Kresta Ostrom of Grandy; grandchildren Cassie and Jasper Peterson; and sister Liana (George) Wing of Cambridge, as well as many other relatives and friends.
