Obituary of Carol LaPoint

Carol LaPoint, 83, of Braham passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at her son's home in rural Isanti surrounded by family. She was born on December 15, 1929 in Wisconsin to Carl and Eva (Barber) Youngren. Carol raised three great and caring kids Gail, Darlene and Jim, and one husband Jim. Her family was her everything. She loved to cook, read and sew. She was a great cook and taught her family a lot. She loved laughing and driving around looking at new things; she really loved old barns and silos. Carol is survived by her husband Jim LaPoint of Braham; daughters Gail and husband Gene McClain of Maple Grove and Darlene Armstrong of Coon Rapids; son Jim and wife Kathy LaPoint of Isanti; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother Carl and wife Karen Youngren of Fridley; and sister Doreen and husband Wayne Herkel of South Minneapolis, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
